Welcome to the Affliction Warlock DPS guide written by Namix. I am one of Method’s new Warlocks, I have been playing WoW since WotLK and started raiding in WoD. I joined Reason at the end of WoD and have been playing with them ever since.
Best-in-Slot Gear (BiS) for Classic WoW. Pre-Raid, Phase 1-6 for all classes. Choose the phase and you class / spec to find the best gear you can get for PvE in Classic WoW. Best-in-slot gear is the most optimized gear for your class.
Affliction is very strong on multitarget bosses/DoT encounters. They are still able to do damage on the move with many instant spells as part of the main rotation. Affliction is weak on single target due to low shard generation but has high burst on demand.
What has changed
The biggest changes from BFA to Shadowlands for the spec; Affliction Warlocks damage shifted around a lot and has got a new shard dumper. Malefic Rapture is the new main damage. It's very strong for multiple targets and okay on single targets. Unstable Affliction is now capped to 1 and can be cast all the time.
Shadow Embrace has been added as a standard passive.
